A new chapter for padelOpening soon in North London

Players in white on a glass-walled court, with a brick clubhouse and tall trees behind.

Padel arrived in Europe in 1974 and found its home in Spain. Today, it is the fastest growing sport globally. Padel Playa brings that spirit home: courts crafted at the heart of the game, ninety minutes to enjoy every match, and a place to connect, belong and stay awhile.

The club, not just the court

Come for the game.
Stay for the community.

A close match is a fine thing. So is knowing the people on the other side of the net.

We’re building a club where both matter. Founded by padel enthusiast Andrew Criticos and his father George, Padel Playa is an independent, family-run club built around a love of the game, good company and a genuine sense of community.

Easy to pick up.
Hard to put down.

A padel racket leaning against the net, with three balls at its foot.
The smaller racquet. The longer rally.

01 / THE GAME

Four players. One good idea.

Padel is played in doubles on a court enclosed by glass and mesh. Think tennis, with a little help from the walls.

02 / THE GAME

Less learning. More playing.

An underarm serve, a compact racquet and rallies that last. It is an easy game to get into, with plenty to keep you coming back.

03 / THE GAME

Ninety minutes, well spent.

Time to find your rhythm, get a proper game in and enjoy the last point as much as the first. No rushing you off at sixty.
